07-07-07 the Beginning

Two years ago near the end of 2005 while reading through 1st & 2nd Chronicles,

I came to 2 Chronicles 5 and received a vision of 120 shofars blowing around the Capitol building in Sacramento.

“Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “ For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.” II Chronicles 5:13-14

If I would have seen shofars around any other place, I might have brushed it off, but because this was the place where God had called me and a few others to minister to Him, it held significance.

We, several ordinary people of God, had been coming to the Capitol for many months to release His Word. But God was calling us to raise-up a team of intercessors that would minister to Him daily by reading and praying His Word there. In early 2006, our pastoral counsel imparted a strong message to us that we were there to keep the portals of heaven open in the Capitol.

At this point we just pondered the vision of the shofars in our hearts. On January 13, 2006 we began training intercessors to read and pray the Word through the legislative halls. On Sunday, April 9, 2006, a Pastor came from the East Coast and preached a sermon on Joshua. It was that day that the Lord gave the date for the trumpets to blow. It would be 07-07-07. For many months we focused on continuing the releasing and the praying of the Holy Word of God into the atmosphere of our State Government.

As the vision was shared with other intercessors for the Capitol many became excited and agreed that this was of God. In February, a couple of us began searching the Word for every reference to “trumpet.” We pressed in for further confirmation from God wanting to find out how He would have us proceed and what His purpose was. The burden of the 120 Trumpets became overbearing and we cried out to God for a sure sign and for partners to help.

In March there were many little confirmations that came which spurred us forward. On March 3rd, fifteen of us gathered to begin searching the heart of God for revelation and practical requirements for such a gathering. We divided the tasks and took our assignments.

In April 2007, three significant confirmations came that we believe were sent by the Lord that imparted revelation as to why we were doing this.

The first came on April 1st at my home church in Vacaville. A guest speaker from England preached a sermon to us that stirred my heart deeply and awakened the ears of my understanding. The message was on exchanging the natural for the supernatural. When God’s people receive the fullness of moving in the supernatural then His Glory comes to earth. It was said that God chooses a geographical place on earth to open the portals of heaven. This was true in the place where Abraham offered up Isaac, David built an altar on the thrashing floor of Ornan, and where Solomon built the temple, all of them being in the same geographical place. It cost David something to purchase Ornan’s thrashing floor and so it will cost us to exchange the natural for the supernatural as well. When she spoke about the portals of heaven it caused my ears to perk up because almost a year earlier that word had been spoken over the capitol intercessors. I asked the Lord, “What is it that California needs to exchange in the natural for His Glory and what is the significance of the Capitol’s history?” I was compelled to run home and look up the history of the State Capitol and within a short search found that California had adopted a constitution in 1849 and established a state government without waiting for the federal government’s blessing. The reason behind California’s abrupt leap into statehood lies in one word: “Gold!” Suddenly it made sense that we needed to exchange the California gold for His Glory!

On April 15th, another confirmation came as I returned to my old church in Oakland and the word came that we the body of Christ need to be transformed and not carry the things of the flesh into the New Transformed Man. An example was given of a missionary in Africa that had holes in his pants and no shoes; but next to him in this picture was a lady that he had raised from the dead. What an awesome display of being poor in the natural and Rich in His Glory. Incidentally, the pastor speaking that day was very significant to our call at the Capitol.

The third confirmation came when on April 30th, God sent a man to stay at our home that walked from Des Moines, Iowa to the Pacific Ocean in repentance for this country. He was walking 40 miles a day and had already completed 2/3 of the journey of forming a “cross” across the nation in his prayers. He was at our home the same evening God brought the First Nations people from Indiana to do worship and teach on reconciliation. These two men intersected at the same time and brought a word of confirmation concerning the shofars at the Capitol.

This will be a time to release the sound of heaven to cause the body to long for the fullness of His Spirit. As we read in Isaiah 11:2, “The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord."

As we have been praying in the pieces of this event we have come to realize the fractures in the California foundation. Several of those fractures will be addressed on 07-07-07 and brought to the cross.

We will come to the Lord in humility and ask for His redemption. We will pray for His releasing of the Seven Spirits that are before His throne into His body in California. Isaiah 11:2 says, “The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”

We will seek Him for His grace and fullness as we stand on government land and implore His healing virtue to fall on our state.

And you say, “So who is this event for and how do I fit in?”

This is an event arranged by intercessors to carry out an assignment given by God. Only those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior should participate.

We as intercessors have some business to take care of on capitol grounds between us and God. It is not an event for spectators and it will not be polished or packaged to please man. Whether the body of Christ comes or does not come, His “will” will be done.

We are so grateful for every anointed shofar blower who has volunteered. Together we will be an awakening sound from heaven for the parts of His body to arise, come together, and allow His breath to put us in alignment, especially in regards to the First Nations people of our state.

He is waiting to pour out His Spirit on His bride for this and I know that we are ready to be rearranged and aligned according to His will.

If you feel called to join us please come in one accord to spiritually uproot the ungodly thrones of iniquity and rebuild a holy foundation in the capitol of our state. Much has been done in the past but now is the appointed time for greater empowering for the body to be overcomers.
